PV Chamber Effort Helps Homeless Sleep Comfortably

TRAPPE PA – Plastic grocery bags that seem to pile up in homes and offices everywhere can be put to good use, according to the Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce, by recycling and “knitting” them into sleeping mats (at top) for people experiencing homelessness in local communities.

The chamber’s Perkiomen Valley Women In Networking group, in a partnership with Integrate for Good, will work to create the mats Feb. 23 (2022; Wednesday) from 4-5:30 p.m. at the chamber’s office, 521 W Main Street, Suite 103, in a session that’s free to attend and open to the public. The organization invites anyone interested to “meet new friends, care for our planet, and make a difference all at the same time.”

This event has been added to The Posts’ calendar.

Those who want to attend are asked to notify the chamber by no later than Feb. 21. Call it at 610-489-6660, or send an e-mail to info@pvchamber.net.
