Activities Group Ready for 2022 Events in Schwenksville
Schwenksville’s Meadow Park (banner at top) has long been a favorite place to enjoy musical performances
SCHWENKSVILLE PA – Schwenksville’s “Music in the Meadow” summer concerts and its annual Community Day, both anticipated to be held later this year, are already in the planning stages, borough officials report. All the events, to be held in Meadow Park along the banks of the Perkiomen Creek, will be open to the public. That’s due in part to local business sponsorships.
Although performing acts are still being booked, concerts are scheduled for June 15 from 6:30-8:30 p.m., July 20 from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and Aug. 17 from 6-8 p.m. The shows “will be the best yet,” the Schwenksville Activity Committee promises, and it’s already invited community residents to “grab your lawn chairs, pack a picnic, and come dance the nights away!”
Community Day, which has been overshadowed by COVID-19 during the past two years, is intended to return Sept. 10.
Sponsorships for these events are being accepted now through April 30 by the borough at a variety of Bronze (highly affordable), Silver (from $300 and up) and Gold (from $500 and up) entrance levels. Donations received by the April deadline will be promoted to an estimated audience of up to 3,000 people across all four events. A sponsorship form is available online here, and donations also can be made online, here.
