Obituary: Gary Krupp, Former Borough Council Member, 74

SCHWENKSVILLE PA – Gary Russell Krupp, a Schwenksville native who graduated from its high school and later served three terms as a member of Borough Council, and also was elected as township auditor in Lower Frederick, died Monday (Feb. 21, 2022; Presidents Day) in Southport NC. He was 74.

Krupp was a 1966 graduate of of Schwenksville High School, who went on to earn a degree from the University of Baltimore Merrick School of Business. He spent more than 40 years in varied financial management roles during his career with Blue Bell PA-based Unisys Corporation. Krupp’s family owned and operated the historic Krupp’s Hotel into the 1950s.

In Southport he served as treasurer of the Brunswick Civil War Round Table, and as a member of the property finance committee of Saint James Plantation.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Krystal Krupp; son, Matthew (Allison); daughters Nicole Burris (Roger), Heather Patton (Jim), Heidi Gardner (Connie), and Chelsea Ball (Richard); and nine grandchildren, according an obituary issued Friday (Feb. 25, 2022) by the Peacock, Newman & White Funeral And Cremation Service and published by the Port City Daily newspaper in Wilmington NC.

A celebration of life will be scheduled later this year in Southport, it said.
