Global Magazine Features Boyertown Fruit Grower

BOYERTOWN PA – Benjamin Keim, a fifth-generation family member and grower at Keim Orchards, 270 Poplar Rd., who also is a former president of the State Horticultural Association of Pennsylvania, was featured Wednesday (March 2, 2022) in a news profile and video published by Good Fruit Grower magazine.

In the video, posted to YouTube (above), and the article Keim talks about his experiences growing up in the family business, his decision to focus on growing fresh-market apples and peaches, and the assistance he’s received from agricultural research.

He also discusses his increasing satisfaction with crop yields, and offers advice to other growers like himself on how to experiment with new products and practices.

Good Fruit Grower was established in 1946. Its readership consists of orchardists and vineyardists in every U.S. state and 50 countries. It specializes in coverage of growing, packing, handling, marketing and promotion of tree fruits (apples, pears, cherries, apricots, peaches, nectarines and plums), as well as juice and wine grape production.
