PHOENIXVILLE PA – Phoenixville Hospital has named two new interim leaders in its department of emergency medicine. It announced that Dr. Ana M. Davitt has been promoted as the department’s interim medical director, and Dr. Ernest H. Leber as its interim assistant medical director.

Davitt previously served as vice chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine, and Leber served as a hospital emergency medicine specialist. Both are responsible for organizing and coordinating the department’s physician services.

They will work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure quality medical care, according to Rich Newell, president and chief executive officer of Phoenixville and Pottstown hospitals. Davitt and Leber, he said, will “apply their specialized leadership, knowledge and passion for emergency medicine to continue our mission to provide community-focused care to cases of traumatic illness, injury, and other emergency conditions.”

Phoenixville Hospital, owned and operated by Tower Health, is a 144-bed facility. It provides comprehensive medical services through emergency room visits, inpatient admissions, outpatient procedures, and community outreach programs.
