Former Upper Perkiomen Officer Earns Promotion

LANSDALE PA – James McVeigh (at top), who formerly worked for 10 years as a police officer in the Upper Perkiomen Police Department, was promoted Friday (March 4, 2022) to the rank of sergeant in the Lansdale Borough Police Department, which he joined in 2018.

Sgt. McVeigh graduated from the Montgomery County Municipal Police Academy in 2008, according to a Lansdale department news release. He is a firearms instructor, and a coordinator for the Montgomery County Drug Task Force. McVeigh is also on a member of the DUI Task Force and has served in the Lansdale Borough Police Bike Unit.

Also promoted Friday by Lansdale to sergeant was Liam Pyskaty. Both will supervise separate patrol squads of department officers.
