COLLEGEVILLE PA – Funds available to enhance and enrich educational opportunities in the Perkiomen Valley School District grew by more than $26,000, the district’s non-profit foundation reported Monday (March 7, 2022), thanks to a highly successful dodgeball tournament fund-raiser (at top, above, and below) presented by CM3 Building Solutions of Fort Washington PA (bottom).

The tournament returned Saturday (March 5) in the competition and auxiliary gymnasiums at Perkiomen Valley High School, Gravel Pike, after a two-year COVID-induced hiatus. Sixty-seven teams participated in what promoters said was a “spirited competition, and dodged, ducked, and dove their way” in hopes of becoming “the last dodgeball team standing.”

In the end, three teams were designated as winners in the 12th annual tournament: the Throwbocops (Minor Division winners), the Untouchaballs (Middle Division Winners), and the Viking Ballers (Major Division, presented by Fox Rothschild). The money it raised will support spring grant and mini-grants for educational proposals submitted by teachers and staff.

Additional major tournament sponsors included Fox Rothschild, OxyMagic, Levin Legal Group, and TD Bank.

The Perkiomen Valley School District Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization that provides funding for programs that would not otherwise be afforded through tax dollars or other traditional financial sources.
