Lenten Dinner Served Fridays in Schwenksville

SCHWENKSVILLE PA – St. Mary’s Parish continues its tradition of serving Lenten dinners for either eat-in or carry out on March 18, 25, and April 1 (all Fridays) from 4-7 p.m. at Hedge Hall, 40 Spring Mount Rd. Take-out menus and advance ordering online both are available here, or for take-out pick up only call 610-287-8156 from 3:30-7 p.m. on the Friday of your choice.

Menu items include a two-piece fried fish platter, meatless spaghetti with buttered bread, and grilled cheese, in addition to weekly specials of baked salmon on March 25 and crabcakes on March 18 and April 1.

Adult meals include a choice of two sides: french fries, coleslaw, tossed salad, or meatless spaghetti, a beverage, and homemade dessert. Children’s (ages 4-11) meals are also available including meatless spaghetti with buttered bread, a one-piece fried fish platter, or grilled cheese. All children’s meals include a choice of one side (see the list above), a beverage, and a homemade dessert. Meals for children age 3 and younger are free.

‘Be Kind to Your Mind’ Social Wednesday at High School

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – “Be Kind to Your Mind” is the title of a social gathering that includes guest speakers and an interactive presentation on mental health, scheduled for Wednesday (March 16, 2022) from 6-8 p.m. in the Pottsgrove High School library, Kauffman Road.

The event is hosted by The Pottsgrove Village Facebook group, is free to attend and open to the public.

The Pottsgrove Village is a collaboration between families of children with special needs and the Pottsgrove School District Special Education Department. Its goal is to increase understanding and advocacy through education and networking.

Althouse Arboretum Pours Volunteer Coffee March 19

UPPER POTTSGROVE PA – Staff members at Althouse Arboretum, 1794 Gilbertsville Rd., are inviting current volunteers and others who are interested in volunteering to join them for a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate March 19 (2022; Saturday) at 10 a.m. at the farmhouse office on the park grounds.

They promise to ensure visitors are “up to date on our upcoming projects,” and hope to “invite you to join in our adventure!”
