With Retirement, Open Link Looking for New Director

PENNSBURG PA – Dr. Stuart Bush, executive director since July 2013 of The Open Link multi-service agency, 422 Penn St., said he will retire from that position effective this June. The non-profit’s board of directors has begun an advertised search for his successor.

Bush said he expects to remain for an additional month to assist in the transition for the new executive director.

An analytical chemist by training, Bush spent 25 years with Rohm and Haas, and Dow Chemical, before becoming active in non-profit organizations’ leadership in Philadelphia, Souderton, and Pennsburg.

During his tenure at The Open Link he also has volunteered his time as a founding member and governing board chair of the MontCo Anti-Hunger Network, a member of Upper Perkiomen Valley Community Council, and with other organizations.

The Open Link board’s advertisement said it is seeking “an experienced, ambitious, and mission-conscious Executive Director who can build upon (its) history of a nurturing and vibrant organization.” Applications in the form of a resume and cover letter are being accepted by e-mail only at an address specified in the job listing.
