Milkman’s Daughter Guest Speaker for Historians

POTTSTOWN PA – Luann Zambanini, a milkman’s daughter, will describe her father’s experiences as a milkman and what life was like when milk was delivered daily to homes, in a presentation Monday (March 21, 2022) at 7 p.m. during a general meeting of the Pottstown Historical Society, 568 E. High St. The event is free to attend and open to the public.

Rams Cheerleaders Hold ‘Cheer and Poms’ Clinic

ROYERSFORD PA – Spring-Ford Area High School cheerleaders will host a cheer-and-poms clinic March 26 (2022; Saturday) from noon to 3 p.m. at the high school, 350 S. Lewis Rd., that’s open to those age 5-13. A $25 fee will be charged.

Participants should come dressed in athletic clothing and sneakers, and bring a water bottle. Snacks will be provided. For more information, call the high school at 610-705-6001.

Lenten Dinner Served Fridays in Schwenksville

SCHWENKSVILLE PA – St. Mary’s Parish continues its tradition of serving Lenten dinners for either eat-in or carry out on March 18, 25, and April 1 (all Fridays) from 4-7 p.m. at Hedge Hall, 40 Spring Mount Rd. Take-out menus and advance ordering online both are available here, or for take-out pick up only call 610-287-8156 from 3:30-7 p.m. on the Friday of your choice.

Menu items include a two-piece fried fish platter, meatless spaghetti with buttered bread, and grilled cheese, in addition to weekly specials of baked salmon on March 25 and crabcakes on March 18 and April 1.

Adult meals include a choice of two sides: french fries, coleslaw, tossed salad, or meatless spaghetti, a beverage, and homemade dessert. Children’s (ages 4-11) meals are also available including meatless spaghetti with buttered bread, a one-piece fried fish platter, or grilled cheese. All children’s meals include a choice of one side (see the list above), a beverage, and a homemade dessert. Meals for children age 3 and younger are free.
