Local Fire Companies Display Their Grief

TRAPPE PA – The signs say it all.
Firefighting companies across western Montgomery County and beyond are publicly sharing their grief following the death of Trappe Fire Chief and Pennsylvania State Trooper Branden Sisca, and his patrol partner Trooper Martin Mack. Both were killed Monday (March 22, 2022) by a speeding driver on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia as they responded to an emergency.
The signs outside local fire stations and halls ask for prayers not only for the fallen, but also for their devastated families and the communities they served.
In a separate statement issued Monday, state Rep. Joe Ciresi of the 146th District praised Sisca’s life as one of “service to others … as both a fire chief and as a state trooper, he lived his life wholly dedicated to the welfare of the people of Pennsylvania.” His death, Ciresi added, “is an awful reminder to us how our law enforcement put their lives on the line every day to protect ours.”
