“The fishing derby we held last year was such a great success, we decided to it again,” Pennycuick said. “This is a great outdoor event for kids to experience the joy of fishing.”

Lower Pottsgrove Schedules its Fish Rodeo for May

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – The past two years of coronavirus pandemic made the “annual Fish Rodeo” in Lower Pottsgrove a less than yearly event, but only temporarily. The fun fishing activity for kids, traditionally hosted by the township police department and the Parks and Recreation Board, is scheduled to make its comeback in May.

It’s planned to occur May 7 (2022; Saturday) beginning at 8 a.m. atop the banks of Sprogels Run on the grounds of The Sunnybrook Ballroom, 50 Sunnybrook Rd., Sanatoga. Details on what ages are eligible to attend, and when advance registration will be held have yet to be announced.

On its calendar entry, though, the township said it welcomes questions about the good time to come. Call it at 610-323-0436.
