Cover Plants; Protect Them from Sunday Night Frost

MOUNT HOLLY NJ – The potential for frost to form between Sunday (April 10, 2022) at midnight through Monday (April 11) at 9 a.m. across Montgomery County, and specifically in the boroughs of Pottstown and Collegeville, has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a frost advisory notice for the period.

Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered, the weather service noted when its warning went out Sunday at 3:41 p.m. to residents of the multi-county Greater Philadelphia area. It urged them to “take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.” It also suggested they listen to broadcasts and updates online at http://weather.gov.

The weather service predicted overnight minimum temperatures will range from 32 to 35 degrees, creating frost conditions.
