Cover Plants; Protect Them from Sunday Night Frost

MOUNT HOLLY NJ – The potential for frost to form between Sunday (April 10, 2022) at midnight through Monday (April 11) at 9 a.m. across Montgomery County, and specifically in the boroughs of Pottstown and Collegeville, has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a frost advisory notice for the period.

Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered, the weather service noted when its warning went out Sunday at 3:41 p.m. to residents of the multi-county Greater Philadelphia area. It urged them to “take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.” It also suggested they listen to broadcasts and updates online at

The weather service predicted overnight minimum temperatures will range from 32 to 35 degrees, creating frost conditions.
