Ciresi Looking for Summer Office Intern

HARRISBURG PA – Joe Ciresi, state representative for the 146th House District that includes Limerick, Lower Pottsgrove, Perkiomen, Pottstown, Royersford and Trappe, is looking to attract an intern to work with his office during the coming summer, he reported in his Thursday (April 14, 2022) newsletter.

Applications for the opening are being accepted at the Indeed online job listings platform, here.

Interns will handle assigned tasks that primarily represent experience in learning more about state government and the legislative process. “Interns can expect to help constituents solve cases with state agencies, assist in public outreach and events, and work with staff to research policy and assist with the legislative process,” advertising for the position states.

Internships are part-time, roughly 10 hours a week, are accompanied by pay of $12 hourly. Prospective interns must be at least 18 years of age; candidates who have completed high school or earned an equivalent diploma are preferred. “Previous study in the field of political science is recommended, but is not required to apply,” the advertisement added.
