Customers Bank Moving HQ from Phoenixville in June

PHOENIXVILLE PA – Customers Bank, the main subsidiary of Customers Bankcorp that currently is headquartered at 99 Bridge St., plans to relocate those offices to 40 General Rd., Malvern, by June (2022), the Philadelphia Business Journal reported.

Journal Reporter Jeff Blumenthal wrote the building had been substantially damaged by Tropical Storm Ida during Sept. 2021, and was “out of service for at least six months. In the interim, the bank transferred deposits from its first-floor branch office there to another branch at 513 Kimberton Rd. Other bank functions at the building, temporarily relocated, will make the move to Malvern.

About 175 employees once worked in the 30,000-square-foot Phoenixville space. Some, but not all, will occupy about 40,000 square feet in the new location; others will work remotely and visit the office on limited days, according to the article; and a few will continue remote work full time. The additional space gives Customers Bank room to grow other operations and divisions, it reported.
