Road Resurfacing Returns Next Week in Western MontCo

KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Road repair and resurfacing projects continue Sunday through next Friday (May 1-6, 2022) across portions of Upper Providence and Limerick townships and Collegeville and Trappe boroughs, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The work schedules and locations include lane closures:

  • For milling operations, overnights Sunday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning on Route 29 between the U.S. 422 interchange and Main Street and Ridge Pike in Upper Providence Township and Collegeville Borough;
  • For casting adjustments, Monday through Friday (May 2-6) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Route 29 between the U.S. 422 interchange and Main Street and Ridge Pike in Upper Providence Township and Collegeville Borough;
  • For paving operations, overnights Sunday through Tuesday (May 1-3) from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning on Ridge Pike and Main Street between Route 29 and Limerick Center Road in Trappe and Collegeville boroughs and Limerick Township; and
  • For base repair and casting adjustments, Monday through Friday (May 2-6) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Ridge Pike and Main Street between Route 29 and Limerick Center Road in Trappe and Collegeville boroughs and Limerick Township.

Drivers should allow extra time when traveling through the work areas, because slowdowns will occur, PennDOT warned. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather.

PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surfaces and repaving them with new asphalt to seal the roads and provide a smoother riding surface.
