Update: Birdsboro Woman Held in Allentown on Local Warrant

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – A 34-year-old Birdsboro woman, who was one of two individuals being sought by the Lower Pottsgrove Police Department on a warrant related to an alleged March shoplifting incident, was arrested Wednesday (April 20, 2022) in Lehigh County, the department reported.

The accused, Kendra Kaylene Ruffner, had been “picked up” during a county law enforcement detail, the department stated on its CrimeWatch website. The warrant was discovered when Ruffner was fingerprinted, it added. A confirming copy of the warrant was sent to and received at the county jail in Allentown, where the department said “she is being held on all charges.”

According to court records, Ruffner faces counts of conspiracy to commit retail theft, conspiracy to commit theft by unlawful taking, conspiracy to receive stolen property, falsely incriminating another individual, and providing false information to law enforcement officials.

Lower Pottsgrove initially reported Ruffner, “along with another male” who also is wanted, conspired “to commit retail theft at the Home Depot” store on Armand Hammer Boulevard in the township. An arrest warrant issued for the second individual remains unfulfilled, it indicated.
