Crime Stoppers Offer Reward in Upper Providence Theft

COLLEGEVILLE PA – Thieves who have struck twice at the same Collegeville location during a two-week period have attracted the probably unwanted attention of the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers organization.

The group reported Friday (May 13, 2022) on its CrimeWatch website that Upper Providence Township Police are continuing to investigate the May 9 (Monday) alleged theft of a zero-turn mower and trailer – bearing Pennsylvania license registration XNB7025 – that occurred sometime between 2:30 and 3:30 a.m. at the Pfizer Pharmaceuticals campus on Arcola Road.

The equipment is owned by Vantage Landscaping Company, Crime Stoppers said.

A small-sized sports utility vehicle was being driven by suspects at the time, according to the police department. The same suspect vehicle also was involved in another theft that occurred April 29 (Friday), again between 2:30 and 3:30 a.m. at the same location, police added.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to anonymously contact Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers, which accepts tips toll-free by phone at 1-800-472-8477, or online here.

The amount of its potential reward was not specified. Rewards are distributed when tips lead to an arrest in, help find a fugitive in, or assist in solving the alleged thefts. Information on the incidents, although accurate when released, may later be changed or updated, it noted.
