Pottsgrove MS Choir Offers Hand-Clappin’, Foot-Stompin’ Fun

UPPER POTTSGROVE PA – “The Fox,” described as a “fun, playful folk song that tells the story of a father fox going to the farmer’s den to grab a goose for the family dinner,” was the opening number Wednesday (May 18, 2022) as members of the Pottsgrove Middle School Show and Concert Choirs performed their traditional spring choral concert in the school auditorium on North Hanover Street.

The piece, with an upbeat tempo arranged by Blake Richter and Taylor Shaeffer and published by Walton Music, offered the Show Choir a chance to entertain the audience with not only their voices but some hand-clapping and foot-stomping showmanship. They were led by middle school choir Director Alyson Trout.

It featured accompanists John Hazel playing mandolin, and Darien Horton on the drum set.

The middle school singers are bound June 9 to enjoy some rest and relaxation with a trip to Dorney Park in Allentown, according to the concert program.
