PennDOT Says ‘Begone!’ This Week to 422 Limerick Potholes

LIMERICK PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation maintenance and contractor crews will work this week (Monday through Friday, May 23-27, 2022) in Montgomery County with an exclusive focus on repairing potholes on U.S. Route 422 in Limerick Township, it said.

That won’t be all they’re doing statewide, of course. PennDOT reported more than 50 other roads across Chester, Bucks, Philadelphia and Delaware counties will receive pothole repairs, but the MontCo effort is described as 422-specific in Limerick.

Drivers can expect crews to restrict travel lanes so areas of deteriorating pavement can be patched. They’re being advised to be alert to the moving operation, and to anticipate intermittent lane closures and possible slowdowns. All activities depend on acceptable weather.

As of Jan. 1, the agency claimed it has used more than 7,550 tons of asphalt to repair potholes across the five-county region.
