Crime Stoppers Offer Reward in Alleged Burglary Attempt

CHARLESTOWN PA – A potential cash reward awaits anyone who can help Pennsylvania State Police identify a man (at top) that troopers allege was involved in an attempted burglary incident on Milton Drive in Charlestown Township, the non-profit Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers organization said Friday (June 10, 2022).

The suspect walked up to the front door of a home there “and attempted to open the door multiple times,” according to the Crime Stoppers’ report. The suspect also rang its doorbell multiple times, but “was unsuccessful in obtaining access to the residence.” The suspect subsequently left the home’s front porch and entered a four-door sedan.

The event occurred May 28 at 3:30 a.m., state police at the Troop J Barracks in Embreeville said.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the state police at 610-486-6280, or anonymously contact Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers. It accepts tips toll-free by phone at 1-800-472-8477, or online here.

The amount of its potential reward was not specified. Rewards are distributed when tips lead to an arrest in, help find a fugitive in, or assist in solving the alleged thefts. Information on the incidents, although accurate when released, may later be changed or updated, it noted.
