Learn How Native Plants Help Your Garden and its Pollinators
LOWER FREDERICK PA – A team of gardening experts from across Montgomery County intends to help Lower Frederick gardeners understand how to choose and maintain plants to cooperate and support nature. They’ll assemble June 25 (2022; Saturday) from 1-3 p.m. at the meadow in the township’s Cuddy Park, Colonial Drive, to talk and answer questions about using native plants to benefit pollinators.
The program, scheduled by the township Parks and Recreation Board, features members of Penn State Master Gardeners, the Wild Ones of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy, and the township Environmental Advisory Council.
They hope to familiarize those in attendance with recent research about relying on native plants for their resiliency and pollinator support. The event is free to attend and open to the public.
