KOP Woman Cited in Fight; Pottstown Woman, as Pickpocket
KING OF PRUSSIA PA – A 28-year-old King of Prussia woman was cited twice by Pennsylvania State Police after she began fighting with another woman at the Valley Forge Casino Resort on First Avenue, according to a report issued Thursday (June 16, 2022) from the Troop K Barracks in Skippack.
The King of Prussia woman was charged with alleged harassment by physical contact, and with disorderly conduct after she began striking a victim, another woman, with her hand and also kicked her in the leg, troopers claimed. They did not explain what prompted the altercation, how long it lasted, or if either the suspect or victim later required medical attention.
The fight occurred June 11 (Saturday) at 1:10 a.m. while the troopers were on duty at the casino on behalf of the state Bureau of Gaming Enforcement. The non-traffic citations were filed Friday (June 17), court records show, in the Bridgeport court of Magisterial District Judge James P. Gallagher.
Pickpocket theft alleged
In a separate incident unrelated to the one above, a 36-year-old Pottstown woman is being charged with theft by stealth after allegedly picking the pocket of a 58-year-old man on June 12 (Sunday) at 2:30 a.m. near a bar on the casino floor, troopers reported.
State police claimed the Pottstown woman lifted a black-colored Samsung-brand cell phone from the male victim, an East Fallowfield PA resident, while both were in the area of the bar. Her identity was later confirmed, troopers indicated, and charges were also filed in Bridgeport.
