Cloudy Skies, No Rain, and the Blues in Lower Frederick
LOWER FREDERICK PA – Although it rained Thursday afternoon (June 23, 2022) in Lower Frederick, the skies over its Cuddy Park on Colonial Drive were cloudy but precipitation-free by 7 p.m. That’s when Slim and The Perkolators performed during the township Parks and Recreation Board‘s first summer concert of the season. Board members earlier made a call to proceed with the show and hope for the best.
That gamble paid off, and about 40 people attended. The crowd was small in comparison to concerts of past years, but the audience seemed to enjoy the show. The playlist varied from upbeat toe-tappers to wailing cries of love and love lost.

The township’s next concert, featuring The Mighty Manatees, is scheduled for July 28 (Thursday), also at Cuddy.
