Large Crowds Expected at Waltz’s Fireworks Monday
LIMERICK PA – Fireworks will return Monday (July 4, 2022) to the Waltz Golf Farm, 303 W. Ridge Pike, with a food truck area that opens at 6 p.m., entertainment from a live band starting at 7 p.m., and depending on weather and other conditions, its sky display at about 9:45 p.m., according to the family company that’s staged its free-to-the-public show for many years.
Past crowds have been huge, and parking is controlled by police and fire police units from across Montgomery County. Arriving early is advised, and so is patience. The event is the result of months of planning coordinated with the township police department, fire department, fire police, and Trappe Fire and Ambulance Company No. 1, the Waltz Facebook page reported. Also involved well in advance are its our employees, vendors, and suppliers.
Featured food and beverage vendors include trucks from Hillbilly BBQ, selling pulled pork and beef brisket sandwiches; Donuts NV, mini-donuts and frozen lemonade, Capt’n Chucky’s, Big Bill’s Shrimp Cocktail and assorted seafood; EZEE Concessions, pierogis, french fries, fried Oreos, and funnel cakes; Smokey Island, smoked chicken nachos, fried churros, jalapeño fries, and fried pickles; the Limerick Fire Hamburger Brigade, hamburgers and hot dogs. Cash or credit is accepted by several.
Waltz’s own ice cream bar will sell Nelson-brand ice cream and water ice, but will accept cash only. Also, after the fireworks end, Waltz’s miniature golf courses will be open with discounted admission.
The Journey tribute band, Highway Run, will provide musical entertainment beginning at 7 p.m.
Fire department and company volunteers will begin clearing parking areas, section by section, when the fireworks show end. Again, patience will be required and appreciated, the golf farm noted.
