Ride to Fireworks in Style on a Colebrookdale Train

BOYERTOWN PA – If you want to reach and watch Pottstown’s GoFourth! fireworks and special activities tonight (Monday, July 4, 2022) in comfort and style, the Colebrookdale Railroad suggests you drive to Boyertown.

The highly popular and nationally praised non-profit railroad is offering travel on its “Fireworks Express” train to and from Memorial Park in Pottstown, leaving at 7 p.m. and returning when the event’s finished. As of Monday at 6 a.m., only 10 tickets for the excursion remained available for purchase online, here.

Passengers are reminded to bring lawn chairs for seating outdoors (none will be provided) and wear appropriate footwear. Riders will be allowed to disembark from the train to enjoy the show from the park. Boarding for the return trip to Boyertown will begin promptly after the show concludes, it reported.

The railroad’s boarding platform at Memorial Park does not yet have a ramp, so for this expedition it said it is unable to accommodate wheelchairs.

No meals are served during the trip, but the railroad’s à la carte menu offers snacks and beverages available for purchase.

Ticket prices range from $20 to $75, depending on rider age, rail car, and seating. Discounts may be available.
