Skippack July 4 Parade at 11 a.m., Fireworks Tonight

SKIPPACK PA – The public Fourth of July party in Skippack village arrives today (Independence Day, July 4, 2022) in two forms. The first is its annual holiday parade, which starts at 11 a.m. on Route 73 in the heart of the village. The second is its fireworks display, scheduled for dusk (roughly 9 p.m.) at Palmer Park, 4022 Heckler Rd., adjacent to Skippack Elementary School.

Both events are free to attend and open to all visitors.

Parking for the fireworks is located on Heckler Road; the AllEvents. In website reports a per-vehicle fee for parking will be charged.

A per-person-fee barbecue event also is planned during the day, beginning at 3 p.m. at Parc Bistro, 4067 W. Skippack Pike, according to SkippackVillage.com.

Those who arrive at the park ahead of the evening event (it’s planned from 6-9 p.m.) can enjoy live music from The Vincent James Band, an array of trucks from which to buy food and beverages, and free kids activities, also according to AllEvents.In.

Viewing at the 4-H Center

Separately, parking for the fireworks also is being offered atop the hill at the Montgomery County 4-H Center, 1015 Bridge Rd., and is sponsored by the Farm, Home, and Youth Foundation of Montgomery County. Its vantage point offers “great views” of the sky show, the foundation said. A $5 per vehicle donation is requested.
