College Plans Aug. 3 Session About Medical Billing

BLUE BELL PA – Representatives of the medical billing specialist certification program offered by Montgomery County Community College will hold an online information session using Zoom on Aug. 3 at 5:30 p.m. from Blue Bell. Interested participants can register for the program in advance at an MCCC calendar webpage, here, and receive a confirmation e-mail with additional information.

The 186-hour medical billing specialist is associated with the certified billing and coding specialist credential. During the one-hour Zoom session, participants also will learn about employment opportunities, and meet with instructors, industry experts, and employers.

The medical billing specialist program is offered fully online, with live instruction. The next program will start on Sept. 6 and conclude on Dec. 15, with credentialing exams to be held during the week of Dec. 19.

It covers medical billing, coding, and administrative support functions. Students will learn customer service skills, as well as the support functions needed in front medical offices. At its completion, students will qualify and sit for credential testing through the National Healthcare Administration.
