WEST CHESTER PA – A North Coventry Township police detective and a South Coventry resident are among individuals recently honored by Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan and representatives of her office during its annual awards ceremony. The event acknowledged “extraordinary efforts” by law enforcement, first responders, Good Samaritans, and others in helping to keep the county safe.

Receiving an award was North Coventry Township Detective Timothy Prouty, selected as county Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. Presented with a special citation was Evvie Harrison of South Coventry, for what Ryan called her ” extraordinary heroism in saving a 13-year-old from a child predator on July 9, 2020.”

Also given awards, commendations or citations were Deputy District Attorney Emily Provencher, prosecutor of the year; county Detective Maurice Nadachowski, detective of the year; Regina Stewart, administrative professional of the year; the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department, the West Fallowfield Police Department, and resident Stacey Tshudy in Coatesville.

“The incredible accomplishments we recognize remind us of the truly important work that keeps us safe and protected; work that usually happens behind the scenes with no fanfare or accolades,” Ryan said during the presentations. “Every recipient of these awards told me a variation of the same thing … either it was a team effort, or they only did what they did because it was the right thing to do.”
