Pottstown Man Faces Alleged DUI Charge After Accident

RUSCOMBMANOR PA – A 51-year-old Pottstown man has been arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and drug possession, following a single-vehicle accident in the 3500 block of Pricetown Road in Ruscombmanor Township, Berks County, according to a report distributed Sunday (July 17, 2022) by Pennsylvania State Police from the Troop L Barracks in Reading.

The man, who was driving a 2012-model Jeep Patriot, reportedly was “not injured” and declined transport to a medical facility offered by an Oley Fire Company ambulance.

Troopers said he was driving June 30 (Thursday) at 1:09 p.m. “in the westbound lane” in the Pricetown Road block, “which was level and straight.” His vehicle “traveled off the shoulder of the westbound lane and struck a tree” on a nearby property. He was arrested on the two charges “as a result of investigation,” they added.
