Update: Storms Canceled Collegeville Thursday Concert
COLLEGEVILLE PA – Maybe a third time will be its charm.
A performance by The Bachelor Boys Band, which had been scheduled for late June (2022) as part of the Collegeville summer concert series, at the time was postponed due to soggy ground in Community Park at Park and West 3rd avenues.
Then it was re-scheduled for Thursday (July 28), also at Community Park, and for a second time the concert was postponed, the borough reported. The cause: thunderstorms that were accurately predicted as the night’s weather, it explained.
If any luck remains, the band may still play in Collegeville before year’s end. Borough Parks and Recreation Chairperson Kathy Costello indicated she hopes it could be rescheduled for October.

Collegeville Reschedules Bachelor Boys Band Thursday
COLLEGEVILLE PA – A second chance, promoters in Collegeville hope, will be the charm for an upcoming summer concert to be performed in the borough by the Bachelor Boys Band (at top).
The band’s big sound in playing everything from country to rock to Motown funk was silenced in late June, when soggy ground in Community Park postponed its appearance. Now the concert has been re-scheduled for Thursday (July 28, 2022) at 7 p.m., again in the park at Park and West 3rd avenues. Families can begin arriving at 6 p.m.
The borough-sponsored event is free and open to the public. The Collegeville Economic Development Corp. encourages audience members to bring chairs or a blanket to sit on, and a picnic dinner too, if you’re so inclined. A Rita’s Water Ice vendor will be on site, too.
In case of rain, the concert will be canceled. Potential visitors are suggested to check the borough website for cancellations or more information, or call the borough during regular business hours at 610-489-9208.
