Sunday Accident Closes Route 663 East of Pennsburg

PENNSBURG PA – A “motor vehicle crash with serious injuries involving a vehicle and motorcycle” occurred during early afternoon hours Sunday (July 31, 2022) on Route 663 between Spinnerstown and Brinkman roads in Milford Township, Bucks County, about 5 miles northeast of Pennsburg Borough, Pennsylvania State Police reported at 5:06 p.m. in a Twitter alert.

Details on the incident were not available from state police sources as of Monday (Aug. 1) at 7 a.m.

A series of photographs published Sunday night to accompany a story by The Morning Call newspaper in Allentown show a motorcycle lying on its right side on a roadway.

The affected portion of the highway was closed at about 3:45 p.m. for an investigation of the accident, according to a post on the Facebook page of Milford Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 1. Traffic was detoured over surrounding roads. Fire company personnel were among first responders at the scene.

The fire company said the portion of Route 663 was re-opened Sunday at 8:30 p.m.
