Pottsgrove Band Ends Concert Series in Sanatoga Park

SANATOGA PA – After another successful run of nearly weekly musical entertainment, this year’s edition of the Lower Pottsgrove summer concert series will end Sunday (tonight, Aug. 7, 2022) with a performance by the Pottsgrove Community Band. The show starts at 6 p.m. at the bandstand in Sanatoga Park on South Sanatoga Road.

The series was underwritten by J.P. Mascaro and Sons.

Concerts are free and open to the public, including residents of Pottstown borough and adjacent townships. Parking is available in the park’s lower and upper lots. Bring your own seating (none will be provided) or a comfortable blanket to spread out over the grass, and a picnic or snacks if you’d like.

If the weather looks inclement, check the township Facebook page for concert updates.

The 63-year-old band operates as a part of the Pottsgrove Recreation organization coordinated by West, Upper, and Lower Pottsgrove townships and the Pottsgrove School District. Its members are talented volunteers who love music and enjoy the opportunity to keep area residents entertained.

This year’s community band schedule included performances during June at Emmanuel Lutheran Church and Manatawny Manor, both in Pottstown; and during July at the Southeastern Veterans Center in Spring City, Chestnut Knoll in Boyertown, and Keystone Villa in Douglassville. Tonight’s final concert represents an end to its season as well.
