Job Interviews Await Thursday at ‘Grove Schools
LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – If you need a job, or are looking for additional work, personnel representatives of the Pottsgrove School District hope to meet you Thursday (Aug. 11, 2022). That’s when the district will hold a job fair offering “spot” interviews for candidates seeking positions as substitute teachers, support staff members, and custodial substitutes.
The event is scheduled for four hours, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the district office, 1301 Kauffman Rd. Walk-ins are welcome, its website said. Candidates can talk with district administrators and discuss employment opportunities for salaried and hourly positions, and substitute teacher positions that pay up to $240 per day, it added.
Substitute teaching at Pottsgrove, the district said, presents a “wonderful opportunity” to give new teachers “valuable experience with our students and building teams.” Teachers who need “flexibility with work,” and individuals who are not teachers but who hold bachelor’s degrees “and would like to try substitute teaching” also may be interested in Pottsgrove’s openings, it noted.
In addition to competitive pay rates, Pottsgrove also provides what it called “great flexibility regarding daily assignments” that can fit personal schedules and availability. It prides itself, too, it said, in “being a close-knit community where we offer training and support for a team environment and positive culture.”
For more information, call the district Human Resources office at 610-327-2277, Ext. 1012.
A similar job fair was conducted July 26. If you were unable to take advantage of that session, don’t miss this one, the district suggested. The Aug. 24 (Wednesday) start of school is just two weeks away, and a variety of positions remain available.
