MCCC Hosts Early College Boot Camp on Thursday

POTTSTOWN PA – High school students who want to get an early start on their college education can attend a “sneak peek” of the Montgomery County Community College dual enrollment program on Thursday (Aug. 18, 2022) from 9 a.m. to noon in the second floor gallery of its North Hall at the Pottstown campus, 101 College Dr.

To register for the free session, complete the form on this college webpage.

For students age 15 and older, the dual enrollment program offers the ability to take college classes on campus, in their high school, or online to earn undergraduate credits from MCCC. Credits can be transferred to a four-year college or university; however, students should contact their intended college’s admissions office to ensure credits transfer completely.

Thursday’s event includes both a student and family tracks that cover becoming a dual enrollment student, making the transition from high school to first-year college student, available resources, a campus tour, and on-site registration assistance. A consultant session also is planned for families to learn more about the value of a community college education.

Classes are offered in the evenings, on weekends, and during the summer. For daytime classes, students should check with their high school to see if they can adjust their schedule and fit in a college course.
