Seven Townships Affected by Week’s Resurfacing

KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Crews working next week on behalf of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will be involved in highway resurfacing operations that could affect drivers in portions of Upper Frederick, Lower Frederick, Upper Hanover, Salford, Marlborough, Lower Salford, and Towamencin townships, the department reported Friday (Aug. 26, 2022).

PennDOT is milling existing roadway surfaces and repaving them with new asphalt to provide a smoother riding surface. Here are the work schedules and locations:

  • Sunday through Wednesday (Aug. 28-31) from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Little Road between Perkiomen Road and Snyder Road in Upper Frederick and Lower Frederick townships;
  • Sunday through Wednesday (Aug. 28-31) from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Whites Mill Road between Route 563 and Swamp Creek Road in Salford and Marlborough townships;
  • Sunday through Wednesday (Aug. 28-31) from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Congo Road between Kutztown Road to the Douglass Township line in Upper Hanover township;
  • Sunday through Thursday (Aug. 28 to Sept. 1) from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Kinsey Road between Old Forty Foot Road and Route 113 in Lower Salford and Towamencin townships; and
  • Wednesday and Thursday (Aug. 31 and Sept. 1) from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Finland Road between Geryville Pike and Ridge Road in Upper Hanover and Marlborough townships.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas, PennDOT said. Slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather.
