The Post ‘In The Stands’ for Aug. 31
POTTSGROVE PA – “In The Stands” is a Post feature that offers video of games between the Tri-County area’s many high schools, across many sports played by both varsity and junior varsity teams.
Today’s snippets present Wednesday’s contests at Pottsgrove High School for boys varsity soccer between Pottsgrove and Tulpehocken, played on Falcon Field behind the high school; and for boys JV soccer between Pottsgrove and Tulpehocken, played on a campus field west of Ringing Rocks Elementary.

Pottsgrove’s Jeff Erb reported the final score as Tulpehocken 4, Pottsgrove 0, with Tulpehocken leading 1-0 at half-time. Tulpehocken took 20 shots on goal, 16 of which were saved by the Falcons’ AJ Lattanze. Tulpehocken also earned 11 corners, and Pottsgrove 1. No JV score or report was available.
- Not part of today’s video but also Wednesday, in boys varsity golf, Methacton beat Pottsgrove 196-257 at Skippack Golf Course.
- Pottsgrove girls’ varsity volleyball team beat Chichester Wednesday in five sets, with scores of 25-19, 13-25, 20-25, 25-23, and 15-11. The win was made possible by an all-around team effort, Pottsgrove’s Jaime Reinhart said. An overview: Raelyn Eisenhard had 10 assists and 7 kills; Lizzie McAllister had 6 assists; Rylie Eisenhard had 7 kills; Avery Gleason had 4 kills, 8 service points, with 5 aces; Madi Arpino had 13 service points, with 4 aces; and Chelsea Wasdick was a defensive force, with 8 digs.
