BOYERTOWN PA – There was color anywhere you turned Thursday (Sept. 1, 2022) at the Boyertown Evening Market. From red and green peppers aside purple eggplants (at top) to vendors’ attire (above), spaces across the South Walnut Street parking lot near the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles were bright with visual stimuli.

The borough evening market, hosted by Building A Better Boyertown, has been operating since mid-June on the first and third Thursdays of every month from 4-8 p.m., rain or shine. It’s continuing through Oct. 7, and was brought back into the organization’s schedule after a hiatus by popular demand.

Several vendors were happily surprised to find themselves sold out of product on opening day, which attracted an attendance of more than 600 people, its website reported. Thursday’s shopping contingent was nowhere near as large, but the list of vendors catered to both mealtime and specialty gift needs. Handware clothing, jewelry, and candles competed for attention with what’s fresh in protein and veggie choices for dinner.

Building A Better Boyertown also said the market selection will rarely look alike from week to week, because vendors regularly rotate in and out of the schedule. Past and current vendors include Firefly Cafe, Crusty Delight, Will O’ the Wick candles, FD Market Co., The Peppermint Stick Candy Store, Kaizen Farms, Hinterhof Farms, Hill Road Coffee Roasters, and Passionate About Microgreens.
