Local Portions of 422 Get Line-Painting Attention

UPPER PROVIDENCE PA – Potions of both sides of U.S. Route 422 across Lower and Upper Providence, Limerick, West and Lower Pottsgrove, and North Coventry townships will be the subject of what the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation calls “a moving lane closure” Tuesday through Friday (Sept. 6-9, 2022) overnights, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, for line striping operations.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. PennDOT warned slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather.

The striping is part of construction activities in PennDOT’s program to ensure the safety and overall condition of state highways, it said.
