Ride In Style Saturday on Community Day Hay Wagon

READY FOR YOUR RIDE – The hay wagon that will be pulled, filled with riders, during Saturday’s (Sept. 10, 2022) annual Lower Pottsgrove Community Day has been cleaned, painted, decorated, and will be accompanied by a new set of safety stairs too, township Director of Utilities John Fogel (at top) reports. The wagon ride has been a community day fixture for years. To celebrate its post-COVID return, Fogel and the Public Works Department repainted the wagon itself, built and installed new staves, dressed them up with shimmering fall decorations (above), and rebuilt and painted steps that will safely get riders to the hay bales on which they’ll sit. The ride’s free, as are all community day activities. They’ll be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Lower Pottsgrove Elementary School, 1329 Buchert Rd. The event features music, food trucks, pumpkin decorating, crafts, and a variety of activities for children and families.
