Troopers Investigating Slot Machine Damage

KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an incident that caused substantial damage to a slot machine on the floor of the Valley Forge Casino Resort on First Avenue, the agency reported Friday (Sept. 9, 2022).

A suspect, not publicly identified by troopers from the Troop K Barracks in Skippack, allegedly “forcefully struck the screen of a slot machine” on Aug. 20 (Saturday) at 9:55 p.m., troopers said. The heavy blow created damage to the machine estimated at more than $1,000, they added. Slot machines are somewhat like computer-controlled video games, with one or more high-resolution monitors.

Troopers did not indicate whether the strike was caused by a fist or other body part, or if some object or instrument was used. They also did not report if anyone nearby was injured as a result.

Whoever the suspect is, troopers said he or she faces at least one charge of criminal mischief, and possibly others. “An investigation is ongoing,” the report stated.
