Green Lane Park Hosts 11th ‘Bird and Wildlife’ Fest

GREEN LANE PA – Montgomery County officials expect more than 3,000 people will visit its Green Lane Park, 2298 Green Lane Rd., on Sept. 24 (2022; Saturday) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to enjoy fun and activities scheduled for the 11th annual Upper Perkiomen Bird and Wildlife Festival. It’s free to attend and open to the public.

The rain-or-shine event features free hayrides, live music, live animal presentations, Monarch Butterfly tagging demonstrations, food vendors, environmentally themed exhibits and vendors, and kids’ games and activities.

Those who attend also can enter an “eco-raffle” for a chance to win merchandise donated by local merchants. Proceeds from the raffle benefit the Friends of Green Lane Park.

Green Lane Park (at top), in northwestern Montgomery County, offers fishing, boating (including boat rentals), family and group camping, picnicking, 25 miles of trails for horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking, and as two children’s playgrounds. The park, operated by the county Division of Parks, Trails, and Historic Sites, is open daily from 6 a.m. to sunset.
