One Injured Thursday in Sanatoga 2-Car Accident
LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – One person was injured and required medical attention (at top) as the result of a two-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday (Sept. 15, 2022) at 2:49 p.m. on the 2100 block of East High Street in Sanatoga. Lower Pottsgrove police said the crash took place at the intersection of East High Street and the entrance to the Maple Glen Village housing community.
One of two drivers involved, a woman who was not identified, was carefully removed from the front seat of a Mitsubishi compact car (above), placed on a gurney, and rolled to the rear doors of a waiting Goodwill Ambulance for treatment. Her passenger in the vehicle, a boy, was not injured.
The second vehicle, a Toyota (below), was occupied by an adult male and female, and a child, none of whom were identified. Police said they also were not injured.
The accident and first responders filled all three lanes along a two-block stretch of East High. Police officers in three Lower Pottsgrove patrol units were busy at the scene, collecting information and diverting traffic. They were unable to provide specifics of the incident until required reports were completed and approved.
Members of the Sanatoga and Ringing Hill fire companies and fire police were called to the scene, in addition to Goodwill and the police department. Both vehicles suffered disabling damages, and were removed by Hawk’s Towing. The scene was cleared and the street re-opened about 40 minutes after the initial call by Montgomery County emergency dispatchers.
