Pottsgrove Grads Among Seven Moyer Award Winners

SOUDERTON PA – Two Pottsgrove High School graduates have been named as being among seven 2022 recipients of scholarships presented by Moyer Indoor | Outdoor to children of its employees, the Souderton-based company announced. This year marks the 14th time scholarships have been distributed, involving a total of 72 winners.

Representing Pottsgrove among the recipients are:

Alexa Baker, daughter of Todd Baker, who works in the Moyer Heating, ventilation, and Air Conditioning Department. Baker will attend the University of Rhode Island to major in sports media and communications; and
Sydney Wasdick, daughter of Lisa Futchko, who works in the Moyer Human Resources department. Wasdick will attend West Chester University to study international relations, and play women’s lacrosse.

Other winners included graduates of Dock Mennonite Academy (2), Northern Lehigh High School, Parkland High School, and North Penn High School.

Moyer Scholarship awards were presented to the students by company President David Moyer, Chairman John Moyer, Chairman, and HR Representative Lisa Futchko during a ceremony recently held at its main campus in Souderton.

Now in its 153rd year of business, Moyer is a resource that provides plumbing, heating and air conditioning, water quality, heating fuels, propane, pest control, lawn care, tree and shrub care, and pool and spa care.
