Leisurely Sundays: Artisan Festivals in Schwenksville
Artistic creativity reigns (at top) at the Engage Art Studio Artisan Festivals
SCHWENKSVILLE PA – The last of two Artisan Festivals planned for this year at the Engage Art Studio, 1005 N. Gravel Pike, are scheduled for Sunday (Sept. 25, 2022) and Oct. 30, both days from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They’re free and open to the public.
Studio Owner Melissa Thurman considers the festivals a way to introduce the public to new and promising artists whose works are building a following and name recognition. All items are produced and often sold by the more than 50 artists themselves, many of whom also live in the area. Most are available to answer questions about their inspirations and creative process. Some even accept special commissions.

Besides, Thurman adds, the festivals are a great way to spend a few leisurely hours on a pleasant Sunday in Schwenksville. Art of varied styles and materials surround visitors, live musicians perform, food trucks and other vendors are available on site, and artistic activities are offered to satisfy young creative minds, too.
The studio was opened more than three years ago in a former hotel near the intersection of Route 29 and Spring Mount Road in Lower Frederick Township, just 6 miles north of Collegeville.
