Mackenzie Plans Constituent Shredding Event

CENTER VALLEY PA – Residents in Upper Hanover Township and Pennsburg, East Greenville, and Red Hill boroughs are among those in the state’s 131st House District being invited to participate in a rain-or-shine documents shredding event Oct. 15 (2022; Saturday) from 10 a.m. to noon at Hopewell Park, 4695 W. Hopewell Rd., Center Valley. It’s free, and hosted by the district’s state Rep. Milou Mackenzie.

Shredding is an opportunity to protect privacy and dispose of confidential documents properly, Mackenzie said. Those interested can haul up to four boxes of sensitive documents per vehicle to the shredding site. The event is intended for only items that contain sensitive information, such as bank account or Social Security numbers. Individuals are asked to remain in their vehicles, and boxes for shredding will be unloaded.

The service is not open to businesses, due to a limited capacity. For more information, call Mackenzie’s office at 610-965-5830.
