Lower Frederick Fest is Free and Fun on Saturday

SPRING MOUNT PA – Weather forecasters predict Mother Nature will cooperate – no rain! – Saturday (Oct. 8, 2022) as Lower Frederick invites township residents to its free annual Fall Fest from 1-3 p.m. at Foy Park, 1 Main St., across from the Perkiomen Creek bridge. Parking is free too; drivers will be directed by fire police volunteers across the bridge to the lower lot of Spring Mountain Adventures.

Members of the township Parks and Recreation Committee report Fall Fest will include both new activities and popular favorites to entertain families and individuals alike:

  • Event sponsor Sacks and Sons will provide the perennial hay rides;
  • Engage Art Studio, also an event sponsor, will offer face- and pumpkin-painting;
  • Township police, and firefighters, as well as personnel from the Plymouth Community Ambulance Association will display their equipment and answer visitors questions; and
  • Popular free kayaking on the Perkiomen Creek will return under the supervision of Take It Outdoors Adventures.

There’s plenty of other entertainment, too. “Dave Loves Donna” also returns this year to provide live music. The township is serving up popcorn, cookies, and cider … all at no charge. Want to eat something a little more extravagant? The Philly Waffle Cabin will be on site, selling a variety of ice cream and other treats.

Fall Fest is possible due to the help and cooperation of many volunteers, township officials, and members of its various committees, proponents noted. The festival and other activities also receive financial support from this year’s business sponsors: Sacks and Sons, Peace in Zion United Church of Christ, Engage Art Studios, Little’s Tractor, US Gas, Bella Cuccina, Sylvia’s Gymnastics, State of Mind Apparel, Athena Nail & Spa, Reiter’s Auto Repair, Jacob’s Tree Surgery, Value Engineering Inc., Wallace Services Inc., and The Schwenksville Post.
