Firefighters Dispatched Sunday to Walnut Ridge

SANATOGA PA – Volunteers from the Sanatoga and Ringing Hill fire companies were called Sunday (Oct. 9, 2022) at 4:40 p.m. by Montgomery County emergency dispatchers to what began as grill fire in a unit of the 900 block of Walnut Ridge Estates, Buchert Road. It turned into something more.

Ladder-equipped Quint 58 and Squad 58, both from Sanatoga; Engine 59 from Ringing Hill, and other units from outside Lower Pottsgrove Township all were mobilized by dispatchers for the exterior fire.

Dispatchers then reported the grill fire, located on the residence’s front porch, had apparently spread. Lower Pottsgrove police patrols arriving at the scene observed at 4:55 p.m. the porch was “well involved” with flame.

The fire was determined to be “under control” a short time later, according to reports.
