Kenney Valuable in Water Polo Games on Saturday

ERIE PA – Skippack resident and Perkiomen Valley High graduate Ryan Kenney (at top) made several goals on behalf of the Penn State Behrend Lions’ water polo team during two games played Saturday (Oct. 15, 2022) in the opening round of the 2022 Harvard Invitational held at Brown University in Providence RI, the Penn State athletics department announced.

Kenney, a 6-foot-4 senior, and teammate Eli Anderson of California made valuable plays for the Lions during its first game 15-2 loss against MIT, with one goal each. In the second game against local foe Gannon, also located in Erie, Kenney had a hat trick and Anderson posted two. The Lions lost that match 23-9.

Play resumes Sunday (Oct. 16) as the Lions return to action against Harvard at 10:15 a.m. Also members of the Lions’ team are sophomore utility player Connor Bradley of Collegeville, and sophomore driver Ryan Carpico of Skippack.
