Troopers: Cash Drops to Casino Floor, and Disappears

KING OF PRUSSIA PA – A hundred bucks floated to the floor Sunday (Nov. 6, 2022) in the Valley Forge Casino Resort on First Avenue … and disappeared, Pennsylvania State Police reported. Now an alleged theft of the missing $100 bill, belonging to a 57-year-old Norristown woman who apparently was a casino patron, is being investigated by troopers from the Skippack Barracks.

Working on behalf of the state Bureau of Gaming Enforcement, they said they were contacted about the incident at 6:27 p.m. by casino security personnel. Its staff reported a casino ticket redemption machine had rejected the woman’s currency, although there was no indication why, and the money dropped onto the floor.

Video surveillance footage shows a suspect, whose sex the report did not identify, watched it fall. He or she then moved in, scooped it up, and promptly left the area.

It’s unknown whether the victim witnessed the theft, or was looking for her cash elsewhere when it occurred. The investigation is continuing, troopers wrote.
